Amy and Gary Married!

One of the amazing aspects of being a wedding photographer is that I'm given the chance to experience the cultures and traditions of couples and their families. Whether it is a Chinese Tea Ceremony, or a Tongan presentation of family mats, I've been fortunate to see many different traditions over the years. In July, the Isle Media team and I worked with Amy and Gary, an Indian couple from Vancouver. They had their wedding at a Kailua Beach House, spanning over 6 days! We covered all 6 days, from the airport arrival at HNL, to the post wedding session in Kakaako and Kahala. Amy and Gary blended Western and Eastern traditions in their wedding, and made for quite an experience for us all! Highlights ranged from tasting the authentic Indian food cooked on-site, to taking the couple up Lanikai Pillboxes to shoot their formals after the ceremony (yes in full wedding attire!) Amazing how much you can learn from just being with a couple on their big day :) Full coverage from the wedding is below:
