Last week, I did a portrait shoot with Ashley in Kaimuki. I've worked with her before, so it was really nice to collaborate with someone who is familiar with my style and workflow. We did a bunch of lifestyle images using natural light, then moved on to off-camera flash towards sunset. Since we lost the sunset light behind the trees, I wanted to try and recreate it, so I threw a CTO gel on my flash to match the warm light coming from the cloud in the background. Set the white balance to cloudy, and voila! We had sunset light :)
