Mukimono

As part of the 49 day observance that our family is having for Grandma's passing, Reverend Ikeda has been coming over to Grandma's house and doing remembrance services. During last Sunday's service, he also brought his cutlery to show us Munimono, or the Japanese art of vegetable and fruit carving. It was really cool watching him take us through the different steps of how to form the petals, and stick the pieces together on sticks to hold them together. The photo below is what Reverend Ikeda made from a radish and a carrot!
