This is my favorite image from a shoot I did with a model (and photographer) named Lisa. We were going for a summer theme, and Lisa had brought some nice dresses to wear. However, nature had other plans with the weather. This was taken in the midst of pouring rain in Nu'uanu. We couldn't reschedule, because Lisa had to leave for the mainland, so we stuck it out and went through with the shoot. I had to throw rain covers on all my gear, and gave Lisa my jacket to wear between shots.

For this shot, I positioned Lisa partly under a tree and lit her camera right with a SB900, fired through a softbox. The rim light on camera left was from the overcast day. The pose was all her.

I've been experimenting lately with different B&W conversions in Photoshop and hope to eventually find a method that I like. This is what I've come up with so far...
