65 Million and Counting...

This recent article off of Nikon Rumors blew my mind! It's really exciting to see how much Nikon has grown over the years, and I'm very happy to be a part of it.

I remember getting my first Nikon lens. It was a 50mm 1.8D, and it changed my photography. I had previously been using a Tamron 18-250mm, which did everything, but nothing well. The 50mm gave me more control over depth of field, and forced me to compose with my legs, dramatically improving how I set up each frame.

Since the 50mm, I've either bought or borrowed the following lenses for my photography (professional and personal) work:

-Nikon 17-35mm f2.8
-Nikon 17-55mm f2.8G
-Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6
-Nikon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6
-Nikon 24-70mm f2.8G
-Nikon 50mm f1.8G
-Nikon 50mm 1.4D
-Nikon 55mm f2.8 MF
-Nikon 55-200mm f4-5.6 VR
-Nikon 70-200mm f2.8G VR I
-Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VRII
-Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 AF-D
-Nikon 85mm 1.8D
-Nikon 85mm 1.4D
-Nikon 105mm f2.5 MF
-Nikon 200mm f4 MF
-Nikon 300mm f4 AF-D

That's quite a bit of lenses, but I couldn't be happier with them. Nikon makes some great stuff, and it's awesome to see that they've been able to produce so many lenses since they began the F-mount for SLR in 1959.

Thank you Nikon...you have a very satisfied shooter here :D
