Okinawan Roots

Last year, I shot photos during the Pow Wow! Festival in Kakaako, and met Remi Mead, a local artist. We exchanged business cards, and kept in touch, and eventually set up a portrait shoot at her place to highlight her art. After the festival, I realized  never photographed a lot of the murals when they were completed, so I went back and shot photos with my camera phone during a morning run. Remi's mural is no longer there (they paint over the walls every year), so this photo means just a little more :)
